Audience consultation and insight

What it is

The most effective communications get your message across in a way that your audiences will pay attention to, which means putting those audiences at the heart of your communications. Speaking to the people who affect the success of your organisation is the natural first (and second, and third) step when it comes to developing any kind of strategy. I always enjoy this part of the process – not least because it is amazing how much useful insight people will give you when you simply ask.

What it looks like

  • Focus groups: establishing perceptions

  • Focus groups: testing concepts

  • Interviews (in person, by phone or online)

  • Surveys

  • Events

  • Co-creation workshops

  • Establishing audience needs, drivers and barriers

  • Stakeholder mapping

What clients say

“Kat was innovative and creative, bringing coherence to a challenging strategy project during my time as CEO in a previous role. She quickly won the trust of members, trustees and staff and was highly regarded for her tact and tenacity. I particularly valued her imaginative approach, which led to the adoption of solutions that we simply could not have developed in house.”
Gordon Seabright, CEO, Eden Project
